Borroway Rovers
Borroway Rovers made the short trip to Drombane to renew thier local rivarly in this league clash and with both sides making good ground at the top end of the table it was always going to be a tough encounter which proved to be the case as the game ended honours even.

Both sides settled well in the early stages of the game as the Thurles side tried to take advantage of the strong wind at their backs.

However it was the home side who scored first in the 23rd minute when Paul Hanley met Ailbe O'Donoghes inch perfect pass to slot home from close range.

With half time approaching Borroway were awarded a penalty in what appeared to be frututious circumstances, and matters were compounded when Adrian Cooke saved the resultant penalty and rebounded effort, but his efforts were in vain as Borroway levelled when they eventaully forced the ball home at the third time of asking.

The second half started much in the same vein, but Borroway started to gain an upper hand but with the introduction of Colm Stapleton, Clodiagh had fresh legs and renewed impetus which almost paid dividends as both Stapleton and Paul Ryan came close with efforts from distance.

Both defences dug in for a finish and a hard earned point each which sees the Drombane stay top of the pile after 6 games.
