Division 1
Clodiagh Rangers
0-1(match abandoned 70 mins)
Nenagh Town "B"
A wind and rain swept Drombane played host to this top of the table clash on Sunday last, however, both sides will have to do it all again with referee, Gary O'Shea, forced to abandon this match just after the hour mark when a heavy downpour of rain made conditions unsafe for play.

Clodiagh Rangers started the match brightly and marauding full back Paul English almost broke the deadlock early on with a thunderous shot which just went the wrong side of the post. In truth, this was as good as it got for the home side in the first half as the visitors dominated the remainder of the half, eventually making their dominance count with a well taken goal on 37mins.

Clodiagh Rangers were on the ropes for the remainder of the half but bravely hung on till half time, with O'Loughlin in particular excelling at the back. Clodiagh Rangers came out with a renewed urgency in the second half and created a number of opportunities with Mark Quinlan and Eoin Shortt going close. But just as Clodiagh seemed to be getting back into the game Mother Nature intervened and left referee Gary O'Shea with no option call an early halt to proceedings.

The sides will have to meet again and Clodiagh Rangers manager, Eamon Maher will hope for an improved performance.
