Thurles Celtic took the lead on forty minutes when Colm Breen latched on to a John Leahy head down in the box.
Clodiagh Rangers were back level just before the break when Paul Doyle headed home from a Colm Stapleton corner kick.
The home side made a strong start to the second half and went in front on the hour mark with a Paul Doyle penalty.
Both sides had chances after this, but it finished 2-1 to the home side to give Clodiagh Rangers their first win of the new season.
