Clodiagh Rangers B' entertained Ardcroney B' in Drombane on Sunday afternoon. Clodiagh Rangers' results have been good of late and with a strong eighteen-man squad were no doubt seeking a win.

The first half proved to be an even contest with both sides coming close on a number of occasions, however it was the visitors who scored first. Fifteen minutes into the half, a powerful shot from Keith Kelly deflected off Mark Conway into the home team's net.

Clodiagh Rangers had chances to level before half time but lacked sharpness in front of goal and failed to punish Ardcroney with an equaliser.
Clodiagh Rangers took the game to the visitors in the second half and monster the possession but could not find a way past the Ardcroney defence who were determined not to surrender their slender advantage.

Ardcroney found respite from defence on a number of occasions to hit the home team on the counter attack, but crucially found David Carey in top form in the Clodiagh Rangers goal.

The Drombane outfit thought that they had finally equalized with ten minutes on the clock when Paul Ryan, menacing throughout, powered home a header but it was ruled out for offside.
Ardcroney failed to heed the warning, and with time almost up, afforded Rory Ryan far too much time on the edge of the area to compose himself and shoot beyond a disorientated Ardcroney keeper.

Clodiagh Rangers will have been a little disappointed to only draw the fixture, but the point keeps them above mid table.
