Clodiagh Rangers B' entertained Nenagh AFC 'C' in this mid table clash on Sunday afternoon in Drombane looking to bounce back from a deflating home defeat to neighbours Holycross FC 'A' last week.

The home team did not start well and found themselves on the backfoot for the opening half as Nenagh AFC dominated proceedings. Despite a stellar defensive performance from the Drombane men, they found themselves trailing by a single goal at halftime after Nenagh AFC capitalized on loose possession in the midfield to counterattack and score.

Clodiagh Rangers started the second half much improved and drew level shortly afterwards, when Tommy Stevens played Gary Donnelly through on goal from the right and he finished with a low hard drive to the net.

Clodiagh Rangers continued to apply the pressure and were rewarded with a penalty with twenty minutes to play when Paul Shanahan was bundled over in the area. Patrick Purcell stepped up to take the penalty, but despite sending the keeper the wrong way the ball went agonizingly wide of the post.

Clodiagh rangers continued to press and got their just rewards with time running out when Brian Carroll scraped the ball to the net from close range after Nenagh AFC failed to clear a corner kick.
