Sallypark B
Clodiagh Rangers B
Donacha Cullagh
With the advantage of the wind Clodiagh had the best of opening half without carving out too many clear cut chances. Then, on 40 minutes Seamus Cullagh slotted a neat ball across the face of the goals which Donacha Cullagh gathered before slotting home from an acute angle.

It was the fourth league game in row in which Clodiagh Rangers B' had taken the lead and thoughts of the players inevitably turned towards preservation of the slender lead.

Sallypark attacked strongly during the second half in search of an equaliser. On 59 minutes the home side came close when a header cannoned off the crossbar.

Shortly afterwards the sides were level when a missed clearance presented the Sallypark forward with the easiest of tasks to fire past Carey in the Clodiagh Rangers goal.

As the half progressed the wind grew in Sallypark's favour, and the match descended into a physical battle with full-blooded challenges littering the play.

With minutes remaining, and Clodiagh Rangers beginning to believe that they had weathered the storm, a defensive lapse allowed Sallypark in to grab the winner, and despite a late fight back the points were lost.

Best for Clodiagh were David Carey and Seamus Cullagh.
