Diarmuid Grant, Ailbe O'Donoghue. Clodiagh entertained Portumna Town in Drombane on Sunday afternoon, and almost took an early lead in the contest when Paul Shanahan was felled in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. Shanahan dusted himself down to take the penalty himself but agonizingly hit the post with the resultant effort and the rebound was hacked to safety.

Clodiagh Rangers did take the lead on the half hour mark when a lofted freekick was headed home by Paudie Ryan to give the Drombane side the lead.

In an all-action conclusion to the first half Clodiagh relinquished and regained the lead inside a five-minute spell.

From a position defending a corner, Portumna countered the length of the pitch and fired home an equalizer to leave the Drombane side deflated.

Parity was short-lived however, with Dylan Sheridan powering home a header from a corner just before the break to leave Clodiagh Rangers with the narrowest of leads at the break.

Twenty minutes into the second have Portumna pulled themselves back onto level terms again with a strike from inside the area.

Clodiagh Rangers introduced Diarmuid Grant and Ailbe O'Donoghue from the bench, with the latter having a goal scratched off for a borderline offside decision.

Clodiagh pushed hard for the winner, and despite the opposition being reduced to ten men, and Paul Shanahan cracking a headed effort off the crossbar, they could not find a way through and the match ended all square.
