Division 3
Nenagh Celtic B
Clodiagh Rangers B
Paul Ryan
On Sunday Morning, Clodiagh Rangers B' travelled to Nenagh to take on Nenagh Celtic B'. With Division 3 wide open in these early stages of the season a win for either team would see them climb towards the top of table. Clodiagh Rangers had travelled with a strong squad, with no fewer than seventeen players, but found themselves in defensive mode early on. The Clodiagh Rangers formation was working well and Nenagh Celtic were restricted to only three shots on target.

An error in goals by Pat Treacy allowed Nenagh Celtic take the lead after twenty minutes, but Treacy more than redeemed himself with two top class saves, and coupled with good defending from Clodiagh Rangers, made sure the score line was still only 1-0 and halftime.

When the second half began, It was Clodiagh Rangers turn to attack and they never gave up and a deserved equalizer finally arrived with ten minutes remaining when Paul Ryan leaped and headed a cross into the top corner of the net to tie the game at 1-1.

Solid defending by the Drombane side proved to be vital in the latter stages with Clodiagh Rangers perhaps unlucky not to score on the counter attack. In the end Clodiagh Rangers were happy to take a point against a strong Nenagh Celtic team.
