Clodiagh Rangers B' were in action in Drombane on Sunday last, with league leaders, Gurtagarry the visitors in this keenly contested affair.
As with all previous meetings between these two sides, there was never as much between them as the league table might suggest.

The visitors started the stronger on this occasion and found the breakthrough early on when a raid down the right-hand side found Jason Farrell to break the deadlock. Clodiagh rangers protested vehemently for handball, but the protests fell on deaf ears.

Clodiagh failed to carve out any real chances in a first half largely dominated by Gortagarry.

Clodiagh Rangers began the second half with a purpose and were back on level terms almost immediately when John Ryan headed home a corner kick.

The remainder of the game was closely contested, with Clodiagh Rangers having limited chances to take the lead, Casey again coming close, hitting the woodwork with a header from another corner.

At the other end, the home side had Pat Treacy to thank for making a hatrick of fine save to deny the visitors. In the end though, Granary's possession told, and a second goal from Farrell was enough to take all three points.
