Sean Maguire, Pat Phelan, Rory Ryan. Clodiagh started brightly with Patrick Purcell causing all sorts of problems for the Latteragh Celtic defence.

After a sustained bout of Clodiagh Rangers pressure they took the lead when the afore mentioned Purcell ran down the left wing cut inside his marker and floated the ball over the Latteragh keeper from an acute angle.

The remainder of the half passed without incident with the Clodiagh Rangers back line, a blend of youth and experience, well on top.

Clodiagh Rangers were however forced into a change in the first half, springing Sean Maguire from the bench in place of the injured Mark Conway.

Clodiagh Rangers were out of the traps quickly in the second half and Patrick Purcell was unlucky not to add to his tally on a few occasions as the visitors continued to create chances.

The Clodiagh Rangers management introduced Pat Phelan and Rory Ryan in place of Vincent Ryan and Stephen Gleeson, and it was the latter who had a hand in Clodiagh Rangers' second goal.

Rory Ryan whipped in an excellent corner kick and it was met at the back post by the head of evergreen Declan Carr leaving the Latteragh keeper no chance.

A lapse in concentration by Clodiagh Rangers allowed Latteragh a lifeline late on as Ronnie Kinane punished the visitors with a good finish to a rare Latteragh attack.

This set up a tense final few minutes but the Clodiagh Rangers team maintained their composure, aided by man-of-the-match performance by Jack Spillane, to take maximum points.
