Clodiagh Rangers 'B' travelled to Ballinrea on Sunday morning for their Division Three encounter with Ballymackey 'B'.
Clodiagh exerted themselves on proceedings in the first half and had much the better of the territorial advantage.

The Ballymackey goalkeeper pulled off a string of fine saves to deny the visitors from opening the scoring from set piece play in the first half, with the home team restricted to only one chance at the other end after a goal mouth scramble resulting from a corner.

There was little change in proceedings in the second half, but the visitors were dealt a cruel blow with twenty minutes to play, when a poor clearance out of defence was seized upon by Ballymackey, and the resultant chipped strike was well placed beyond the reach of Keith Ryan in the Clodiagh goal, despite the retreating keeper getting a hand to the ball.

Despite the game opening up for the final twenty minutes, with chances to score at either end, the scoreline remained unchanged and Clodiagh went down to their first defeat of the season.
