Three excellently taken goals ensured Clodiagh took the spoils in this mid table clash.

Clodiagh opened the scoring early on thanks to some great build up play.

Jack Spillane rounded his marker on the right wing before crossing to Pat Phelan on the back post. Phelan then teed up David Considine who struck low to the bottom corner of the net.

Ballymackey responded soon after with a cross of their own from the right which was headed home from close range to square the game.

Clodiagh dominated the second half and took the lead before the hour mark. A superb cross from the left by David Considine was finished brilliantly on the volley by the impressive Dean Carew.

Clodiagh made certain of victory soon after when a corner delivery by Considine was met by a thumping header by Kevin Ryan.

Clodiagh had several chances to add to their tally with Niall Shanahan and Patrick Lowry particularly unlucky not to score late on.

The team will be more than happy though to keep their good run going which sees them move into the top half of the division.
