Rearcross B
Clodiagh recorded their third league win on the trot after a hard fought battle on Sunday morning.

In a game of precious few chances the decisive moments occurred with 20 minutes to go. Rearcross created a superb opening with some nice interplay in the Clodiagh penalty area culminating in a shot form 6 yards.

Sam Kulczycki however made a remarkable save to keep Clodiagh at parity. Within a minute Rearcross lost possession in their half, and Niall Shanahan picked up the loose ball 40 yards from goals and having spotting the keeper off his line found the top corner of the net with a brilliant lob.

Rearcross tried in vain to equalise but were restricted to half chances by a superb Clodiagh rear-guard of Jack Spillane, Dominik Pastorek, Patrick Ryan and John Ryan.

Clodiagh were thrilled with the win as the game looked destined for a scoreless draw.

Special mention must go to Stephen Gleeson who having picked up a nasty foot injury with 15 minutes to go played on as Clodiagh had used up all of their available subs.
