Clodiagh's third team took to the field hoping to extend their solid start to the campaign.

The encounter was something of a stalemate for the first 30 minutes with both sides giving up very few chances.

All that changed in the space of 15 minutes before the break. A quick corner found Pierce Ryan just inside the penalty box and his shot found the far corner of the Sallypark net.

The home side were at it again minutes later when James Coffey ghosted in to the penalty area and latched onto a Pa O'Dwyer through ball.

Coffey duly slotted past the outrunning keeper. Coffey repeated the trick moments later with an almost identical goal.

This time Patrick Lowry was the provider. Despite playing against a stiff breeze Clodiagh seemed to be cruising. Sallypark however reduced the deficit just before the break when a superb corner routine resulted in Dan Bergin heading home brilliantly.

The momentum began to swing Sallypark's way in the second half and Clodiagh were restricted to attacks on the counter.

Sallpark scored a second headed goal via a long throw from Paudie Ryan who found Shane Hogan in the 6 yard box.

The deficit was down to 1 but Clodiagh held on for the 3 points.
