Clodiagh and Ballymackey played out a high scoring and eventful game on Sunday morning last.

Ballymackey showed their intent early with Sam Kulczycki having to bring off a smart save. The home side however took the lead soon after with a fine strike from William Seymour.

Clodiagh edged their way back into the game with Thomas Ryan and Dominik Pastorek coming close from long range.

It was a case of third time lucky from long range when Pat Phelan's unstoppable 25 yard strike from the left put Clodiagh level mid way through the half.

Ballymackey responded quickly and went back in front with another strike from Seymour. They extended their lead before the break when a corner was deflected in off the unlucky Pat Phelan.

Clodiagh began the second half on the front foot and got back into the game when great work on the right by Thomas Ryan created a chance for Pa O' Dwyer.

His snap shot was half blocked by the keeper but the in running Daragh Brennan slotted home to make it 3-2.

Clodiagh pushed for an equaliser with Patrick Lowry, Daragh Brennan and Dominik Pastorek all coming close. It was just not to be Clodiagh's day and Ballymackey scroed a breakaway goal with 10 minutes remaining to make sure of the win.
