Clodiagh C' entertained Noreside Celtic in Drombane last Sunday and, in a tight first half with few chances both the teams went in level at half time.

The second half was a completely different affair. Noreside Celtic took the lead when a Tommy Porter shot from just outside the area found its way into the bottom corner.

Clodiagh reacted positively, deploying an atonal striker, and were rewarded when Pierce Ryan's curling effort found the corner of the goal from twenty yards.

Clodiagh pressed for a winner and came close on a number of occasions most notably when Shane Kinane's shot went just wide. Unluckily, and slightly against the run of play, Noreside Celtic grabbed a late winner through Kieran O'Meara to dash the home sides hopes of a valuable result.

Despite pressing hard for an equalizer, and having late claims for a penalty waved away, Clodiagh rangers slipped to defeat.
