Cloughjordan were visitors to Drombane for this Division Three league fixture last Sunday afternoon.

For all of the first half Cloughjordan passed the ball well and created many chances however all of the Clodiagh backs were perfectly organised and kept the game scoreless.

In the second half Cloughjordan once again attacked however all the goals came in the last 25 minutes.

Clodiagh took the lead against the run of play it has to said. Following a counter attack, James Coffey set up Bobby Wade who had only just came on a few moments earlier and he lobbed the goalkeeper from 20 yards out to make it 1-0 Clodiagh.

Cloughjordan pressed harder and following a corner they managed to score an equalizer. This gave them the momentum to attack for a winner.

After they won a free kick outside the Clodiagh defence and the attacker headed the goal the put them 2-1 up with only five minutes to go

Clodiagh pressed and when Nathan Delaney won a penalty...Brian Gleeson converted to make it 2-2. And thats how it finished.

This was a good defensive performance from Clodiagh Rangers C particularly Shane Dwyer and Brian Gleeson.
