A piledriver from Jamie Shanhan see Clodiagh clinch title! At a sun drenched Drombane, Clodiagh’s U12A team clinched the Premier Division title with a narrow victory over fellow contenders Nenagh A last Saturday morning.

In an evenly contested match both sides had spells of dominance but clear-cut chances were proving hard to come by.
However, the key moment arrived a minute before the break when Luke Shanahan gathered the ball 30 yards out from goal and with a couple of touches he moved into position before unleashing an unstoppable shot beyond the Nenagh keeper to the top corner of the net.
This moment of class from the Clodiagh captain turned out to be a fitting match winner, as despite a determined effort from Nenagh they were unable to find an equalizer, with Clodiagh keeper James Griffin twice tipping over looping shots in the second half to keep his side in front.
This win ensured the Drombane side could not be caught in the title race as the gap at the top has extended to four points with just one game remaining.
NTSFL Committee member Niall Connolly was on hand afterwards to present to league trophy to the victorious Clodiagh squad to the delight of all involved with this impressive young team.
