Knigh United
Under the stewardship of former Clodiagh stalwart Declan Carr, the club's U12 girls team continue to improve with each outing and last Saturday they recorded a big win over an under strength Knigh United side in perfect conditions in Drombane.

The girls conceded an early goal but then settled down to play some excellent football and test the hardworking Knigh goalkeeper at every opportunity. Eventually Clodiagh began to rattle the net with several good finishes and led 4-1 at the turnaround.

The second half saw Knigh battle hard to stem the tide and were unlucky not to grab another goal or two before Clodiagh sealed the win with three more goals in an impressive display by the Drombane side.

This win puts Clodiagh in second place in the league table with their next match a home clash against leaders Borrisokane to come in two weeks time.
