Youths Division 1
Clodiagh Rangers
Niall Grant 2
Clodiagh Rangers Youths travelled to Ardcroney looking to breath life into their league campaign after loosing their first two matches and came away with all three points after dominant display.

Despite a number of enforced changes, the visitors settled quickest and after fifteen minutes found themselves one goal to the good when Niall Grant scored from the spot after he was brought down in the area.

Grant continued to terrorise the home defence and was unlucky not to be awarded two more penalties after some last ditch defending from the home side.

Clodiagh Rangers moved the ball around the pitch with confidence and always looked the more likely to score. When the home side did push up the field, they found the visitors rearguard team of Loughlin Ryan, Ger Mockler, Jack Butler and Aidan Carroll all in fine form.

Niall Grant grabbed the second goal of the game when he got on the end of a long ball and cleverly touched it around the advancing goalkeeper. The visitors never looked like conceding and were unlucky not to add a third when Dylan Greene's effort went narrowly wide of the post.

This was a strong performance from Clodiagh Rangers and will hopefully kick start the season for them.
