Clodiagh travelled to neighbours Rearcross in this keenly contested league encounter.
The away side found it hard to settle and soon found themselves behind to a cruelly deflected effort from close range. Matters were soon compounded when Clodiagh failed to deal with some clever play from the home side and found themselves two goals down after thirty minutes. However, Brendan Larkin latched on to a creative through ball from the impressive Gary Donnelly to half the deficit just before the break.

Clodiagh started the brightest after the interval and were unlucky not to draw level after Sean Ryan's rebounded effort from 30 yards fell kindly to Toby Clancy who was unlucky to see his effort narrowly creep wide of the post.

The home side regrouped and restored their two-goal lead with a well-taken finish from close range. Instead of collapsing, the visitors rallied and pushed hard with their efforts being rewarded with Paul Kennedy finishing emphatically from close range. The game flowed from end to end and Stephen Quinn levelled matters with five minutes remaining from a well-placed free kick.

The match finished honours even in what was a fair result with both sides failing to seize late opportunities to grab all three points. Clodiagh Rangers will consider this a great result having trailed for much of the contest and owe a debt of gratitude to Nathan Delaney and Ronan Heffernan, who excelled in defence.
