Clodiagh Rangers Youths made their competitive debut on home soil in Drombane on Saturday last against their Borrisokane counterparts. Having started brightly, Clodiagh Rangers went a goal up when James Murray put Ailbe O'Donoghue through on goal and he finished with aplomb.

O'Donoghue almost doubled his tally 15 minutes later when he volley just over the crossbar. A neat passing movement saw Ger Reddan snatch an equalizer for Borrisokane just before halftime leaving the sides level at the break.

The Clodiagh Rangers management shuffled the pack at half time and the introduction of James Ryan paid immediate dividends as his impressive strike from 25 yards had Clodiagh Rangers leading again. Ailbe O'Donoghue crowned an impressive performance when he won, and subsequently converted a penalty to seal the win ten minutes from time.

Overall a team performance that will have pleased the management with Seamus Armstrong and Diarmuid Grant controlling their respective sectors of the pitch.
